Some restaurant meals are beyond the usual experience; so was our dinner at Alexandre Mazzia, Marseille (2 Michelin stars – 2, already). With a mind-blowing attention to details, the Chef and his team took us on a trip around the world through vegetables, spices, liqueurs… No dish had less than 20 words to describe it, and we had a staggering 24 dishes, so I cannot do the meal enough justice here. I will not forget the eel with dark chocolate; the black truffles with old Comté, coffee and ginger; the butternut with caramel and hibiscus-tamara sauce. And many others.
